REBEL – Burger & More
Fast Food Bar
Rebel Burger & More is deliberately distinct from other street food establishments: their gastronomic concept stands apart from the ordinary, with regular collaborations with chefs from other restaurants to create unique culinary experiences. They are also particularly open to street art and other contemporary art forms, embodying an attitude that is bold, daring, and innovatively forward-thinking – an essence that is captured by the name Rebel Burger & More.

The branding and identity design both reflect this very mindset: they purposefully diverge from the conventional black-and-white, raw burger bar aesthetic, emphasizing color instead. The alternating, vibrant, fresh hues are striking in the bustling environments of Budapest’s Király Street and the Árkád shopping center, where the main shops are located.

The logo and typography have been crafted with a unique approach—defying conventions, rebellious, much like the brand itself. In the slanted, perspective-driven lettering, there is always an element that stands apart from the rest—signifying individuality. This innovative solution, when applied to other words, can distinctly convey the brand without the use of the logo. It is also perfectly suited to function as a pattern, for example, on takeaway packaging.

The distinctive color variations effectively serve as a visual language as the colors can be used to designate specific dishes (for example, yellow-green-red for Mexican fare, etc.). In addition to the vibrant, youthful, and fresh tones, the palette includes powder pink specifically chosen because this shade is virtually absent in the street food world, making it surprising, unexpected, and attention-grabbing.

The bold colors and letters turning in different directions allow for a great deal of playfulness. This enabled us, for example, to create unique, decorative mural designs on various walls of the interior, that enrich the interior, clearly reference the brand, but do not overly force the logo into view.
