PORTUM TRUST

Fiduciary Asset Management Company

Logo and visual identity design for a trust company that, by its very nature, offers a ’safe haven’: a port to its clients. The logo – relevant also because of the company founder’s affection for sailing – contains a number of references to the nautical world: from the horizontal wavy line to the upper part reminiscent of a sail, to the lower part imitating the hull, all summed up in the form of a shield, referring to the protection provided by the company.

In terms of colors, we also drew inspiration from the sea and sailing. We chose hues such as royal blue, which are timeless, elegant, and convey a sense of calm, while subtly alluding to the elegance and aristocratic nature of the clientele.

For the production of the identity elements, we used premium papers and printing techniques. The duplex business cards are adorned with embossing, debossing and letterpress details, all crafted with the utmost care, by hand, individually. On larger surfaces, such as the folders used for storing important documents, the wavy sail or shield appears in a large, abstract form, in a subdued, elegant variation.

The dark blue color, commonly used in the business world, conveys a sense of seriousness and reliability.

For the visual identity, we chose a serif typeface with a classic design. The combination of white, dark blue, and light blue offers a wide range of design possibilities.

For the folder design, we utilized premium papers and bespoke production techniques. This approach allowed the flowing shield or sail motif to be accentuated more effectively.

In addition to the desktop notepads, we also designed a general informational catalog for the client. During its layout design, we utilized the flowing shield or sail motif as an organizing principle.

This solution is also well-suited for application and continuation on the website.

The company plans to expand internationally, making it essential for the branding and visual identity to be adaptable to any language and culturally interpretable across different regions. We believe that by utilizing the universal symbols of the sea and sailing, we have successfully created a visual language that fully meets these expectations.
